Programs Offered Our mecial team offers many exciting programs and services to enhance the quality of your dog's life, including: -Lyme Disease -Long and Short Term Benefits of Acupuncture -Localized Viral Outbreaks -And many more... Please consult our calendar of events regularly for details and call us at (212) 419-2500 to find out more! Annual Examination We require that all dogs receive an annual examination, either by our veterinary team or another licensed veterinarian. This ensures that your dog is in good health and taking advantage of the latest in preventative medicine. Vaccinations Required The health of the dogs in our care is our number one priority. To that end, we require that all dogs using any Biscuits & Bath service be current on the following vaccinations: Please note that for puppies this means that your puppy must be up to date with their current series based on their age. We keep records of your dog's vaccination expiration dates and can help you keep your dog current with his or her vaccinations. Bordetella Vaccine - Six Month Requirement Please note that we require all dogs in our care to receive the Bordetella vaccine every six months and not just annually. This vaccine is intended to prevent the spread of bacteria that can lead to what is commonly known as kennel cough. Please note that there are many strands of "kennel cough", and the vaccine only covers some of those strands, therefore it is possible for your dog to contract symptoms even if he is vaccinated. Also, the bacteria is airborn and can travel across 3-4 city blocks, thus it is nearly impossible to pinpoint the source of the exposure. It is important for your dog to receive the bordetella vaccination every six months as the vaccine is updated regularly for new strands of the bacteria, much like with the flu vaccine for humans. Possible Injuries and Illnesses Our in-house veterinary team will work closely with you to ensure your dog's optimum health. Despite all of our preventative efforts, please know that just like kids at school, and in the context of our cage-less and off-leash environment, all dogs at Biscuits & Bath are susceptible to, among other things, the following: © 2006 Biscuits & Bath.
