All dog grooming include: manicure and pedicure, ear cleaning, gland expression and flea and tick dips. At Biscuits & Bath we offer a full range of grooming services. We have the finest groomers in New York City. All groomings include ear cleaning, gland expression and nails. We use only the finest of all-natural shampoos. Additional services such as hot oil treatments, cream rinses, and flea & tick dips are available for a minimal surcharge. Rates for groomings depend on breed & coat condition. Feel free to call us with any questions.

Hours of Operation
We generally groom dogs seven days a week from 9am to 5pm. Last appointments of they day must begin no later than 3pm depending on the breed and condition. All dogs coming in for just grooming must be picked up no later than 6pm otherwise an additional charge will apply. Times of availability may vary from location to location so please call to make an appointment.

Booking Reservations
Because our groomers are in such high demand and because we do not work as an assembly line, please book your service in advance. The best means to ensure service is to get on a regular schedule and not worry about last minute arrangements. Ask about our “regulars” program today!

Walking Policy
Any dog visiting our grooming department will be walked outside if their stay with us is longer than six hours. All walks will be individual relief walks with our own double slip collars and our own double nylon leads. Each leash will be attached to a carabineer on a belt around the walker‘s waist. If we walk your dog there will be an additional charge.

Requirements
All dogs being groomed must meet the same requirements as any dog that we care for, irrespective of service. This includes the fact that your dog must be up to date on his vaccinations prior to his appiontment. Please consult our Services page on the website for more details.

Holidays
Please note that we do not groom dogs on most major holidays. Please call us to check on availability.

Possible Grooming Injuries
At Biscuits & Bath we take great pride in making your dog look his or her best. Sometimes however, due to the delicate nature of the grooming process, and the reaction of the dog being groomed, accidents do happen. Some possible injuries to be aware of include:

  • Skin Irritations - usually caused by your dog's unfamiliarity with certain shampoos or conditioners.
  • Eye Irritations - these often occur when water or shampoo gets into the hair around your dog's eyes and are usually corrected with a thorough rinsing.
  • Ear Infections - often the result of water retention in the ear canal and can usually be corrected with a thorough ear flush and/or aural medications.
  • Scratches - these usually occur with an overly excited or nervous pet on the grooming table. Depending on the location of the scratch or nick a simple application of an anti-biotic ointment should resolve any discomfort or redness.
  • Tender Feet - this usually occurs with dogs that are not used to pedicures and who jerk or move suddenly when our groomer attempts to cut back overgrown nails. Regular pedicures make a dog comfortable with this treatment and much less likely to jerk.
  • Cuts - these usually occur with dogs that are excited, nervous or aggressive towards the groomer. Regular groomings will again cut down on the number of these incidents.
Please be advised that while we do everything possible to prevent injuries to your dog, you assume the risk of any injury or illness that may occur to your dog during the grooming process.
