Bathing, brushing and blow-drying dogs; clipping nails. Starting at $10/hr. (w/2+ yrs. experience). Very strong bathers with a proven commitment to both excellence and Biscuits & Bath are eligible to enter our apprentice groomer program whereby they can enhance their skills and career opportunities. Requirements: Experience bathing dogs; the ability to lift heavy dogs safely on a regular basis; a willingness to take on extra shifts and stay late as needed. Apprentice Groomer Train to become a groomer under an experienced groomer in a full service grooming facility catering to a large number of dogs. This is a unique career opportunity that you cannot get anywhere else! Starting at $13/hr. Requirements: 2+ years experience bathing dogs; experience with scissors and clippers; the ability to lift heavy dogs safely on a regular basis; a willingness to take on extra shifts and stay late as needed. This position requires a commitment of a minimum of 2 years. Groomer Hair cutting, bathing, brushing and blow-drying dogs; clipping nails. Groomers are paid a 50% commission on all haircuts and a 25% commission on baths. All full-time groomers receive benefits, including health care, dental care, vision care, and retirement benefits! Assistant Dog Trainer Assistant Trainers can join our Teaching Trainers Program with a minimum requirement of basic dog handling knowledge/experience plus excellent people skills. Top Assistant Trainers will work alongside of Behavior Counselors and support them in every aspect of their job. This provides an amazing opportunity to learn a wide range of skills through hands-on experience with every aspect of dog training and behavior: from classes and lessons to reading body language and performing accurate behavior evaluations. An Assistant Dog Trainer who studies diligently and performs on a high level with people skills and dog training will have an opportunity to become a Behavior Counselor. Requirements:This position requires a detail-oriented and well-organized individual who is motivated to assist with a variety of tasks from handling dogs to accurately documenting information from behavior evaluations. You must have the ability to work effectively on a PC computer and be comfortable learning new tasks such as how to upload videos of training sessions and read reports in Microsoft Excel. Prior dog training experience and behavior study is a big plus. To excel in this position, you will continue your studies both on and off the job. Adoption Coordinator Manage the adoption efforts for Biscuits & Bath across all of our locations in New York. You will be responsible for rescuing dogs, screening potential parents, building a foster and volunteer network, and matching dogs in need with loving homes. This exciting position allows the right individual to save a significant number of lives while leveraging the full resources of Biscuits & Bath. Requirements: This position requires a commitment for a minimum of two years. The expectation is that this position will require a minimum of 50 hours per week on average although performance will be judged based on the number of successful adoptions. This position requires working on weekends and holidays as per company policy. Driver Transporting dogs to and from Biscuits & Bath; making deliveries around the city; maintaining fleet of vehicles, including daily cleaning. Starting at $11/hr (higher pay rate over time for CDL drivers). Requirements: Experience driving commercial vehicles in an urban environment; zero points on license; high degree of reliability. Applicants with a CDL highly preferred. Front Desk Supervisor Provide a high level of service to each parent and dog that utilizes any of Biscuits & Bath‘s wide array of services and to drive incremental sales. You will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks that are required to ensure that each dog entering our care has the best experience possible. This position requires a high-level of ongoing enthusiasm and a great commitment to the health, well-being and enjoyment of the dogs in our care. Starting at $11/hr. with the possibility of meaningful increases over time for strong performers. Top performers who prove themselves may be eligible for promotion to Junior Assistant Manager. This position also offers the potential for advancement and growth within the company over time for exceptional performers. Requirements: This position requires a commitment for a minimum of one full year with the expectation of a longer tenure. This position offers the possibility of a flexible schedule with anywhere from 20 to 40 hours per week. You will also be expected to work weekends and during holiday periods.  Customer Care Representative
Provide a high level of care to each parent and dog that utilizes any of Biscuits & Bath‘s wide array of services and to drive incremental sales. You will be responsible for receiving and making phone calls in order to take reservations, handle customer inquiries and drive incremental sales for the business in a manner that ensures that each dog in our care has the best experience possible. Starting at a salary of $28,000 plus an average annual commission of $8,000 (commission based on performance). This position also includes paid time off as well as medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits. Requirements: This position requires a high-level of ongoing enthusiasm, significant attention to detail, and the ability to proactively solicit incremental business. This position requires a commitment for a minimum of one full year with the expectation of a longer tenure. The expectation is that this position will require a minimum of 45 to 50 hours per week on average, although you may be requested to work longer on occasion if needed. You will also be expected to work weekends and during holiday periods. Junior Assistant Manager Assist in operating an individual Biscuits & Bath location. You will be responsible for all day-to-day operational issues and are expected to require minimal day-to-day supervision. You will also be responsible for helping to ensure that we provide the highest level of service possible to all dogs and developing needs based relationships with parents. This is a great opportunity to start developing management skills. Requirements: This position requires a commitment for a minimum of one year. The expectation is that this position will require a minimum of 45 hours per week on average, although performance will be judged based on results. This position requires working on weekends and holidays as per company policy. Assistant Manager Assist in managing and growing an individual Biscuits & Bath location. You will be responsible for ensuring that we provide the highest level of service possible to all dogs and overseeing all day-to-day operational issues. You will also be responsible for developing needs based relationships with clients and are expected to require minimal supervision. This is a great opportunity to further develop your management skills as well as start to develop leadership capabilities. Requirements: This position requires a commitment for a minimum of two years. The expectation is that this position will require a minimum of 50 hours per week on average, although performance will be judged based on results. The schedule for this position is likely to be Sunday from 10am to 8pm, and Monday through Thursday from 11:30am to 9:30pm, although is subject to change. This position requires working on weekends and holidays as per company policy.  Store Manager
Manage, lead and grow an individual Biscuits & Bath location as an autonomous business unit. You will be responsible for ensuring that we provide the highest level of service possible to all dogs and developing needs based relationships with parents. You will also be responsible for all day-to-day operational issues and are expected to require minimal supervision. Requirements: This position requires a commitment for a minimum of three years. The expectation is that this position will require a minimum of 55 hours per week on average, although performance will be judged based on results in driving customer loyalty and revenue. The schedule for this position is likely to be Tuesday through Saturday from 7am to 6pm, although is subject to change. This position requires working on weekends and holidays as per company policy. General Manager Manage and lead the operations of all of the Biscuits & Bath locations in New York City. You will have operational and financial responsibility for each of our Doggy Gyms with the respective Store Managers reporting to you. You are expected to require minimal supervision. You will be expected to implement and oversee processes improvements in order to drive high levels of dog happiness, customer loyalty, and revenue in a responsible manner. Requirements: This position requires a commitment for a minimum of five years. The successful candidate will have significant experience managing complex operations and growing a large business with little support and supervision and will be willing to work as a Biscuits & Bath Store Manager for a meaningful period of time in order to learn the business from the ground up as well as prove their leadership capabilities.
