Puppy Kindergarten - for Pups 5.5 Months and Younger (6 Classes) Puppy Kindergarten includes all of the essential manners and control commands you need to raise a fabulous dog! Puppies get supervised play time at every class to ensure excellent socialization. You will learn how to Housetrain your pup, and how to handle common problems such as chewing, jumping, and barking. We cover all of the following and more: Sit, Stay, Come, Beginner Heel, Leave It, Drop It, Lie Down, Off, and Loose Leash Walking. Every parent gets their own copy of the class training manual which details everything covered in the course plus essential tips for solving common puppy behavior issues. Basic Obedience & Manners - for Dogs Older than 5.5 Months (6 Classes) Have fun while you enhance communication, change unwanted habits, and develop a higher level of control with your dog! You will learn all of the important commands including: Sit, Stay, Come, Beginner Heel, Leave It, Drop It, Lie Down, Off, Loose Leash Walking, and more. Plus, you will receive a complete education on basic dog behavior, establishing leadership, and how to handle common city dog issues. Click here to view the upcoming schedule. Agility for Everyone! - for Puppy & Basic Grads (5 Classes) Dogs of all sizes and ages can join in the fun with Agility for Everyone! Come and experience the joy of training your dog to run an obstacle course that includes flying over bar-jumps, running through tunnels, holding a Stay in the pause box, then launching through a tire-jump! Our Agility for Everyone! is an awesome game that exercises your dog, enhances their attention, builds your off-leash-control, and deepens your bond through the fun of running the course together. If you've taken a Puppy or Basic class at Biscuits & Bath or elsewhere, you are welcomed to signup! This is a 5-week class for all levels and a can't miss opportunity for fun, bonding, and exercise. Puppy Play Groups - for Pups 1 Year and Under (Every Monday, 7-8pm - All Locations) Your puppy will be thrilled to meet new friends and get great exercise in our Puppy Play Groups! Bring your pup to any Biscuits & Bath location every Monday evening from 7-8pm for socialization and play. These groups are supervised by our in-house Certified Dog Trainers who are available to answer your questions on training and behavior. On our spacious tracks, the room is divided by size and play style so you can choose the best socialization experience for your dog. Puppy Play Groups are always complimentary - no reservations needed, just come on in! Custom Group Class (4 Classes) Would you like your own customized class to focus on topics you and your dog really need more work on, such as: Level-Two Obedience, Leash-Walking, Off-Leash Control, Tricks, or even Breed-Specific Obedience? We would be happy to lead you through a four-week program on any of these topics and more! A customized course is built around goals that you and your classmates set with the Trainer before the course begins. As always, it will be fun and effective. For example, in a Level-Two Obedience course, you can learn increased self-control and attention in the face of distractions, improved Leash Walking and Recalls, as well as new commands such as Go to Place, advanced Leave It, advanced Stay, Touch (Hand Targeting), and more. Click here to view the upcoming schedule. Private Lessons - In Your Home or at Biscuits & Bath Biscuits & Bath offers one-on-one training in the privacy of your home or at one of our locations. Whether it's a behavior problem, control issue, aggression issue, or you just don't have the time, private lessons are a perfect way to meet any and all needs. You can even choose to have your dog trained while they stay with us in Day Care! Consult with one of our expert trainers today.  Meet Our Director of Training David Muriello is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer who graduated with honors from Cornell University. David has trained many different kinds of dogs (and owners!) including shelter dogs, show dogs, sled dogs, therapy dogs, deaf dogs, rowdy 8-week olds, and stubborn 11-year-olds. His training services have been used by Milk Bone, The Discovery Channel, VH1, and Target. In addition to having his work written up in The Star Ledger and discussed on the Joan Hamburg Radio Show, David has appeared as a canine expert on ABC TV's Rachael Ray Show and his adopted shepherd mix, Eli, has appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly! He is also a Mentor Trainer for the national Animal Behavior College. Whether you need help with puppy basics or serious adult dog issues, David can offer many different ways to teach parents and dogs to solve a multitude of behavioral problems. Every situation is unique. David's approach is to determine the best method or solution for the specific dog and specific situation. David's methods are always humane to both dog and parent. We believe that training is most effective when you are having fun and setting your dog up for success!
